Course Requirements

Data Science in Economics Core (9 credits)

Capstone Project

  • Complete Capstone Empirical Project

Total Credits Required for Micro-Credential: 9

Academic Requirements

  • Earn a grade of ‘B’ or better in all Core Courses
  • Watch five recorded lectures (each about 25 minutes)
  • Complete a Capstone Empirical Project
  • Complete a 20 minute presentation in front of faculty members who oversee this program

Learning Outcomes

Graduates of the Data Science Micro-credential Program be able to:

  • Examine, analyze, present empirical data
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of methodical process to formulate and test hypotheses in multiple areas of inquiry
  • Effectively communicate economic trends using data in written and oral forms to a variety of audiences
