To comply with the SUNY Seamless transfer policy, a student admitted to UB as transfer may request an adjustment to the above when a non-duplicated (unique) UB Area/SUNY GE transfer course may only be selected in thematic or global list 3 when all of the following criteria is met: 

  • The student is enrolled in one of the following degree programs: Bioinformatics and Computational Biology BS, Dance BFA, Medical Laboratory Science BS, Music Theatre BFA, Nuclear Medicine Technology BS, Pharmaceutical Sciences BS, Pharmacy PharmD and School of Engineering majors with the exception of computer Science BA and BS.
  • The transfer course was completed prior to matriculation at UB.

Approvable Adjustments

  • If a student has both Social Science and US History & Civic Engagement. The Social Science course may be moved to Global List 2. However, if Global List 2 is full, the Social Science course may be moved to Global List 1.
  • If a student has both World Languages and World History & Global Awareness. The World History & Global Awareness course may be moved to Global List 2. However, if Global List 2 is full, the World History & Global Awareness may be moved to Thematic List 2.
  • If a student has both The Arts and Humanities. The Arts course may be moved to Global List 1. However, if Global List 1 is full, The Arts course may be moved to Thematic List 2.
