MGF 439LEC - Security Trading and Exchange DesignFor simplicity, most finance courses assume that securities trade in a costless world. In reality, there are many frictions that make trading costly. We will walk through the process of how securities actually trade in financial markets, study how trading algorithms work, and discuss current topics such as cryptocurrency trading/markets and high-frequency trading.
