ART 365LAB - Experimental Photography


This course provides students with opportunities to explore different tools of capture and image process as an avenue for a creative production. These experimentation with non-conventional cameras, chemical formulas and the non-silver processes will develop a sense of the possibilities beyond a straight photograph and may provoke an investigation of layers of meaning within the simplest of images. The students are expected to experiment with toy cameras, pinhole, scanner, photogram, camera Lucida, photocopy, chemical solutions, non-silver, methods of transfer and printing. The students working in the media will discover the creative use and possibilities of these technologies to stimulate the imagination to produce, transform, and challenge the content, process and form of image production.
