PSC 105LEC - Introduction to Legal Systems This course will introduce students to legal systems in the United States and around the world. We will see that legal systems in the United States are different from our peer democracies in Europe. Comparatively, we will examine civil law, common law, Islamic law, and hierarchical law. The course will also comparatively examine judges, constitutional review, international and transnational courts, and the impact of these courts.
There are no pre-requisites for this course. It does not require any prior knowledge of the law or legal systems
