PSC 335LEC - American Foreign Policy This seminar is designed to introduce students to the historical and contemporary issues related to U.S. foreign policy. The course will start with a brief overview of the trends and pivotal moments in the history of American foreign policy. The course then proceeds with an in-depth coverage of major institutions, individuals, and groups involved in formulating American foreign policy. The particular focus will be on the roles of the presidency, Congress, executive branch (e.g., State Department), interest groups, mass media, and public opinion. The course will conclude with discussions of major international issues facing U.S. foreign policy today.
