PSC 632SEM - Event History Analysis

This graduate-level course pertains to event history analysis, also known as duration modeling, survival modeling, and reliability analysis. We discuss non-parametric, semi-parametric, and parametric survival models. We also connect these models to more familiar ones like logit or probit. By the course’s end, students will be able to assess hypotheses about many different types of event patterns using standard statistical software. Students are strongly encouraged to have taken a graduate-level course in maximum likelihood or generalized linear models prior to taking this course. Please contact the instructor if you have questions about whether your prior coursework is sufficient.
