ARC 548SEM - Building Project

Examines design/build projects as a complex system of enterprises producing a range of built facilities, including affordable housing and tiny homes, that can alter the built environment to encourage ecological change. Required site visits and fieldwork develop skills in hands-on, full-scale fabrication and erection, concrete demolition, concrete pours, pattern making, painting, landscaping, stone setting, as well as technical drawings. Explores how to advance a project from concept through to completed construction documents, with a particular focus on investigations into sustainable design as applied to modest, small-scale buildings.
