CDS 615LEC - Industrial Audiology

This course provides knowledge of the effects of noise on the auditory system and the prevention of acoustic trauma. Topics include the physiological, morphological, and biological impacts of acoustic overstimulation, the interaction of noise with other intrinsic and extrinsic factors, noise monitoring, engineering control of noise, personal protection devices, hearing evaluation, and noise damage compensation.
