CE 596TUT - Internship/Practicum This course focuses on hands-on experience in the field of Chemical and Biological Engineering. Problems vary from semester to semester and from student to student, and may include chemical process studies, bioengineering studies, engineering material studies, nanotechnology studies, or computer-based analysis of specific chemical engineering problems. Internship assignments follow student preferences where possible and require consent of internship coordinator (i.e. course instructor). Students are allowed to register this course with 1-6 credit hours in a semester, with each credit hour corresponding to a minimum of 45 paid or unpaid hours at an internship site. This course may be taken multiple times across semesters, to accrue the work hours and to attain the maximum 6 credit hours. Grading of this course is based on written reports and oral presentations on internship from students, as well as the written evaluation of students’ performance by the internship site supervisors.
