CEP 546SEM - Human Development and Counseling with Special Populations This course helps students develop a deeper understanding of theories on human growth and development, including physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual aspects, with an emphasis on the relationship to addiction. Students will also develop an ability to understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with people across diverse cultures. Knowledge regarding identification of specific Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs (ATOD) prevention/treatment needs of particular populations will be developed as well as the ability to address their vocational-related skills and goal development needs. This is a required course for the Addictions Counseling Certificate program. Credits: 3
Requisites: Pre-Requisite: CEP 404 or CEP 504.
