CEP 686SEM - Vocational Psychology

The purpose of this course is to enable doctoral students in Counseling Psychology to obtain both breadth and depth in the study of vocational psychology. We will obtain breadth through reading and discussion of theories, research, and cases in vocational psychology. The development of competence in understanding both the scientific and practical aspects of vocational psychology is fundamental to the counseling profession. Consequently, a connection between the literature, assessment, and intervention will be emphasized. Depth of study will be achieved through focus on a topic or on topics of significance to the field.
