CRC 598SEM - Caribbean & Latin American Geography

This course will look at Caribbean geography by considering this fascinating landscape in the broadest social and historical context and by complimenting class readings and discussions with on-site field work in Yucatan, Campeche, and Belize. We will approach our subject of study using a variety of disciplinary tools and techniques borrowed from disciplines such as anthropology, architecture, comparative literature, history, political science, sociology, urban planning, and, of course, geography.
