EAS 591LEC - Special Topics MDI

Fall 2016: The course will also provide a unique, robust but accelerated introduction to fundamental concepts in materials science for students with non-materials science undergraduate degrees and also give a new information science perspective to materials science for students who may already have a background in solid state sciences. An overriding theme of this course is the use of data to understand materials science with a specific focus on how through the exploration of data, one can uncover and discover scientific principles defining structure-property relationships in materials.
