ECO 764SEM - Public Finance and Fiscal Policy Economics of the public sector and implementation of public policy via public budgets. Special attention is devoted to the application of welfare economics to policy making. The subjects covered are primarily microeconomic topics of nonmarket decision making, including voting models and benefit/cost analysis, the production and distribution of public goods, and incidence and welfare effects of alternative forms of taxation.
