ECO 776SEM - International Economics 2 Develops dynamic micro-trade models which may be used to study the behavior of trade accounts over the course of the business cycle, as well as the Ricardian properties of various government policies. The monetary part of the course develops two-country cash-in-advance and OG models which are then used to study monetary and fiscal policies in open economies. Additional topics include coordination vs. non-cooperative policies in open economies, cooperative policies in open economies, alternative monetary systems, and empirical exchange rate studies.
