ECO 787LEC - Urban Economics


Advanced and modern course on the economics of urban areas and regions with emphasis on the spatial organization of economic activity. The course explores the links between urban economic theory and the theory of competitive markets, the theory of externalities and public goods, industrial organization, international trade, public finance, economic growth and economic geography. Special topics with policy implications, such as housing market dynamics or transportation’s effects on urban growth, are also covered.
