EE 580LEC - Biomedical Electronics Covers the principles and designs of various important biomedical instruments including pacemaker, EEG, ECG, EMG, and ICU equipment and diagnostic imaging devices (such as blood bank monitor), CT, MRI, mammography, ultrasound, endoscope, confocal microscope, and multiphoton non-linear microscope (2-photon fluorescent, SHG and THG). Imaging devices (e.g., CCDs) and medical image processing are also covered. Includes a general introduction to biological systems; emphasizes the structural and functional relationship between various biological compartments. Credits: 3
