ELP 649SEM - Public School Finance

This course is designed to help current/aspiring school leaders and researchers develop a stronger conceptual and practical understanding of school finance. Topics of the course include revenue and expenditures concepts of equity and adequacy, history of school funding, overview of accounting and payroll functions, capital-project process and financing and budget management. Course content will be reflective on school district practices in the area of school finance as well as the impact that it has on the work of school district leaders.
