ELP 670SEM - Advanced Doctoral Seminar: Postsecondary Students

Advanced College Students is a topical course expected to vary focus depending on the expertise and interest of the faculty who will be assigned to teach the course each year. Essentially, the course is designed to provide doctoral students with a comprehensive examination of the contemporary experiences of today¿s college student populations. Topics covered may include: student development and learning, diversity, campus climate, student subcultures, student engagement, educational attainment and persistence. The increase and presence of students, faculty, and staff from racially, ethnically, economically, gender/sexual orientation, and other marginalized groups has created challenges and opportunities to establish equitable policies and programs designed to meet the needs of a diverse community.
