END 520SEM - Affordable Housing in Policy Practice


Follows the evolution of affordable housing in practice, from its origins as a socially-based governmental undertaking to the progression and advancement of today’s public-private partnerships. Examines methods for obtaining funding, and investigates the regulatory process. Enables the emerging professional to understand how affordable housing is planned, developed, and executed, as well as some of the inherent trade-offs that attend these decisions. Uses planning and development skills in the advancement of affordable housing for social and economic justice. Students cannot earn credit for both END 520 Affordable Housing in Practice and URP 520 Affordable Housing in Practice.
