ES 528LEC - Health Promotion

This course examines health promotion from a public health perspective, a community and corporate perspective, and in terms of individual behavior change. Students will learn about effective strategies to promote health, prevent disease, and eliminate health disparities. Health promotion program planning and implementation will be introduced, along with the theories and models that guide health promotion efforts. Students will learn the skills necessary to successfully design, implement, and evaluate health promotion and disease prevention programs. The course is designed to enhance student learning by applying theory to real-world situations
