EVS 551SEM - Foundations of Ecological and Environmental Sciences

This seminar explores a series of ¿classic¿ papers and discusses their impact on our current understanding and research in ecology, environmental science, evolution and behavior. Students read assigned publications prior to discussion, develop questions based on the readings and engage in discussion during class. The goals of the course are to familiarize students with the antecedents of modern theory and develop students¿ capacity to critically read the literature and develop and discuss opinions regarding research.
