In recent decades, many U.S. companies have worked to become more environmentally sustainable, yet business continues to cause serious environmental problems. What has driven sustainability efforts, and what has stood in the way? By exploring those questions, this course will give you insight into the challenge of building a sustainable economy. It will be especially useful for students who intend to become sustainability professionals, whether in business, government, or non-profit organizations. This course also will consider what citizens can do to make sustainability a core goal for businesses. This class is dual listed with EVS 443.
