LAI 524SEM - Critical Thinking in Science and the Public

Students in this course will examine the importance of critical thinking skills in relation to scientific understanding, with a focus on evaluating scientific evidence presented by various public and private entities. This course will explore various definitions of critical thinking with an emphasis on the cognitive processes involved, concepts of reliability and validity in science, and the importance of critical thinking in science and the public.
