MT 527LR - Clinical Biochemistry Clinical Biochemistry is the study of basic human biochemistry, with an emphasis on biomolecular structure, metabolic pathways and their relationship to human health and disease. MT 401/527 will cover the fundamental structures, function and interactions of biological macromolecules, including nucleic acids (RNA and DNA), proteins, carbohydrates and lipids. Accepted Biotechnology Students will use MT 401/527 as a foundation for MT 430/530 Bioseparation Techniques, taught each Spring; Accepted Medical Technology Students will use MT 401/527 as a foundation for MT 407/507 Clinical Chemistry, taught each Spring. Credits: 4
