MUS 611LEC - Computer Music

Computer Music approach to working with electronics within music and sound based systems, questioning what it means to make music with and perform with computers and computational/sensing technologies as they continue to interweave with daily life. The course centers around working with and developing proficiency in the graphic programming language Max to develop new creative work. The course begins with historical sound processing techniques and quickly expands to examine a range of experimental and playfully curious techniques. Additional tools and softwares that work with Max will also be discussed.
