PSC 543SEM - Forgn Policy Formulation This course covers the processes by which foreign policy decisions are made. The course will cover both deductive theories explaining these processes as well as empirical evidence that has been used to test hypotheses derived from these theories. While some of the readings will deal with specific cases, one major goal of the class will be to expose students to general theories of foreign policy. The course covers both general theories and specific questions on the tools that policymakers use to achieve their aims in the international arena. Credits: 3
