PSC 634SEM - Psych Theories of Politic

This course covers several topics within the subfield of political psychology. We will read a mix of classic works and newer studies from this rapidly evolving area of study. To start, we will grapple with some different takes on what political psychology encompasses as a unique field of inquiry, its origins, some perennial concerns of political psychologists, and some varying perspectives on where the study of political psychology is going. We will then detail some of the “tools of the trade”- experiments and measurement-before delving into a series of topics that are designed to provide a solid overview of the field.
