PSC 640SEM - Civil War Processes

This class is an introduction to the scientific study of civil war processes. It straddles the comparative and international political perspectives on intrastate conflict. The course introduces students to explanations of civil war onset, duration, and termination, including discussions of violence processes and conflict management techniques in the civil war context. Both domestic and international explanations of civil war phenomena are explored. By the end of the semester, students will have cultivated an ability to design their own research projects on these topics..
