TH 630SEM - Performance Proseminar

Designed to integrate the work started in the prerequisite core courses, Theatre & Performance Proseminar challenges students to apply their practice in research methodologies and techniques and their knowledge of contemporary scholarship to formulating a central research question and developing a plan for executing the necessary research, writing, and publication of their ideas. Students will learn how to write research proposals and abstracts, grant proposals, conference presentations, and scholarly articles. They will develop research questions and integrate their prior knowledge into the writhing of a literature review for their dissertation. This course should be taken during the final year of doctoral course work.
