URP 573SEM - Environmental Land Use and Physical Planning

Surveys the evolution of environmental physical planning as a professional field, and will introduce key theories and debates relevant to land use, the environmental planning process, physical planning, planning law, zoning, location analysis, environmental science, and planmaking. This course teaches the professional skills needed to create and implement ecological land use plans and find employment as an urban and environmental planner. This course teaches plan-making knowledge and skills that every professional urban and environmental planner is expected to have. This course is equivalent to END 573.
