EE 507LEC - Quant Mthds in Mat Charctrztn

This course provides an overview of the different modalities of imaging and spectroscopy in materials science with an emphasis on signal and data analytics; linked to the physics of the instrumentation and the interpretation of the spectrum or image. A selection of laboratory components will be offered to be tailored to the student’s research interests (e.g., X-ray, Raman, TEM AFM Atom probe and field ion microscopy). This course is the same as MDI 507 and course repeat rules will apply. Students should consult with their major department regarding any restrictions on their degree requirements.
