Students will learn to recognize the major signs and symptoms associated with childhood kidney disorders and participate in formulating management plans including dialysis and renal transplantation in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
During this elective, we expect that students will:
Be thoroughly familiar with assigned patients including an understanding of the pathophysiology of their disease processes
Achieve proficiency in performing urinalyses and interpreting laboratory studies of renal function

Give a brief (20-30 minute) presentation on a nephrology-related topic of interest to the student.
