MT 415LLB - Clinical Chemistry I


Clinical Chemistry (also known as chemical pathology, clinical biochemistry or medical biochemistry) is the area of clinical pathology that is generally concerned with analysis of bodily biochemicals for disease diagnosis and treatment monitoring. MT 415
lecture will emphasize the physiological theory of disease and the principles of chemistry testing. MT 415 laboratory will develop technical competencies in laboratory instrumentation, analytical methods and computer-based data deduction and interpretation. Students will study electrolytes, blood gases, hormones, endocrine disorders, toxicology of drugs, metabolites, enzymes, etc. Students are required to take both the lecture and the laboratory. Registration in MT 415 is limited to MLS accepted majors only.
