AI 212LR - Applied Probability and Statistics for AI A non-calculus based course introducing basic concepts in probability and statistics necessary to understand machine learning and AI technologies. This course is designed for students who do not plan to major in math or engineering, and do not wish to take a faster, more in-depth course like AI 220. Key topics will include introductory probability and statistics with a strong emphasis on real-world examples of the use and interpretation of these techniques in AI applications. While some advanced concepts will be introduced, this course will focus on their use in real-world systems as opposed to their mathematical derivation.
