BCH 565TUT - Research Proposal

This course is designed for students undergoing the PhD qualifying exam in the Department of Biochemistry and is limited to such students. It begins with preparation of a written thesis proposal that is modeled after an NIH style F31 format, including the relevant background, specific aims, and a research approach. The course ends with an oral presentation to the department as part of BCH504SEM followed by a closed-door defense of the proposal before the student thesis committee. Credits: 2
