LAW 583LEC - Int’l Business Transaction

When your clients seek assistance with contract drafting, litigation, risk management, intellectual property, corporate transactions, or international trade and investment issues, you may be asked for advice in contexts where an American entity is, or has been, conducting business with a non-American entity. This course will help prepare you to identify legal issues particular to such international business transactions. Topics will include dispute settlement options, technology transfer, anti-corruption, national security concerns, US export and import restrictions, and other laws and regulatory structures impacting cross-border business relationships. There are no prerequisites for this course.
