LAW 634LEC - Secured Transactions

The goal of the course is to provide the student with a working knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code and certain other laws, including certain bankruptcy laws, impacting security interests in personal property, and with the related practical skills involved in preparing, negotiating and enforcing security agreements and related documents, perfecting and obtaining the desired priority for a security interest, enforcing a security interest and, to the extent time permits, understanding the effect of bankruptcy proceedings upon the enforceability of a security interest.
