LAW 723LEC - Commercial Transactions

This course will cover the law governing sales and leases of personal property with a focus on Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code and The United Nations Convention On The International Sale of Goods. We will examine the rights and obligations of buyers, sellers, lessors and lessees in sales and lease transactions using the problem-solving method. We will cover topics including, contract formation and interpretation, warranties, shipping and delivery terms and obligations risk of loss, transfer of title, and remedies for breach, among others.
