LAW 731TUT - Advocacy in Employee Benefit Law This course provides students with an introduction to the federal regulation of private-sector employee benefit plans and to the basics of legal research, writing, and advocacy in this field. After an introduction to some basics of the substantive regulation of employee benefit plans and remedial law under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, students will draft a brief and prepare oral arguments for the Ellen A. (Nell) Hennessy Employee Benefits Moot Court Competition. Enrollment is by permission of the instructor and is limited to students participating in the Hennessy Competition during the Spring semester.
