CHI 104LEC - First-Year Chinese for Heritage Learners This introductory course is designed for heritage learners raised in a Chinese-speaking environment who can converse on daily topics but have limited to no reading and writing skills. Building upon students’ speaking abilities, the course focuses on developing reading and writing competencies in Mandarin Chinese while continuing to improve listening and speaking skills. By the end of the course, students will be well prepared to continue their study of Mandarin Chinese at the intermediate level. This course is NOT open to native speakers.
