ODS =LEFT(F3,3) - Mental Health Fund for OFP

This course focuses on the major psycho-social factors and psychiatric conditions associated with orofacial pain (OFP) including depression, anxiety, catastrophizing thoughts, and prolonged negative feelings. With an emphasis on trauma-informed assessment and treatment planning, students will develop competence in identifying psycho-social factors, differentiating between healthy and unhealthy pain coping behaviors, and determining the need for mental health referral for chronic orofacial pain patients.
