LAW 823TUT - Legislative Advocacy Clinic This clinic provides students with hands-on experience in legislative advocacy, working directly with state and local legislators, government officials, and policy stakeholders. Students will develop skills in legislative drafting, statutory interpretation, regulatory analysis, and policy advocacy. Through client-based projects, students will research and craft legislative proposals, prepare policy briefs, and engage in stakeholder negotiations. The clinic will also focus on strategic communication, coalition-building, and ethical considerations in the legislative process. By the end of the course, students will have practical experience navigating the complexities of state and local lawmaking and will have experience advocating for systemic change through legal and social policy.
