IDM 740 - Clinical Reasoning and Synthesis Clinical reasoning entails “the cognitive processes that enable clinicians to observe, collect, and analyze information, resulting in decisions and actions that seek to improve patients’ well-being while considering their specific circumstances.”1 This one week course, which serves as transition to the Clinical Phase (Phase 2), is designed to build off of clinical reasoning skills introduced in Phase 1 and to provide students with tools and approaches to improve their accuracy in diagnosis and treatment choices.

Prerequisites & Notes Completion of necessary preceding medical school classes as per policies outlined in the Academic Status Policy.
