This STEM program focuses on synthetic and natural materials in biomedical engineering and dentistry. Courses and research provide comprehensive knowledge of and experience with materials, focusing on biomolecular and cellular interactions with medical/dental implants, device design, regulatory requirements, and surgical requirements. Applicants to this program typically include biologists, engineers, chemists and clinicians. Graduates of the program work as biomedical scientists and engineers in industry and as academic clinicians. Other graduates enter PhD research training in related fields or pursue post-graduate clinical training.
