Return to: A-Z Program List
Master’s-level study in science education prepares adolescence-level teachers in biology, chemistry, earth science and physics. Students who have initial certification at the adolescence level can elect for an EdM, which qualifies them for professional certification at the middle school child and adolescence levels. In addition, students in programs in early childhood or childhood education may choose to concentrate studies in science. The unique sequence of research experiences and courses in the programs includes science curriculum, science instruction, measurement and evaluation of science instruction, and a research seminar.
