The MS in Natural Science is a flexible graduate program that offers students the option of combining one area of natural science with graduate course work in a variety of related disciplines. Fields of study available to students in this program include biological sciences, chemistry, geology, geohazards, mathematics, physics, and CSEQuiN (Center for Spin Effects and Quantum Information in Nanostructures). There is also a formal concentration in computational linguistics within the natural sciences interdisciplinary degree. Students interested in this concentration should visit the department website for specific program requirements.

Required Core (15 credits)
Select graduate level courses from one Natural Sciences or Mathematics department, including one course in Research Methods / Statistics.

Second Natural Sciences Area (15 credits)
Select graduate level courses from one Natural Sciences or Mathematics department:

*With prior approval up to 6 of these credits may be in area of Humanities, Social Sciences or through GSE, SEAS, SPHHP, JSMBS or RPCCC.
Culminating Experience: Project (3 credits)
Register in primary concentration department.
