The advanced dental education program in Periodontics trains specialists for careers as academicians, scientists and clinicians. The program is designed to train dentists in the art and science of periodontology, who will be able to plan, initiate and carry out a research program in a field relevant to periodontics. The clinical phase of the periodontics program is offered in conjunction with a research degree program: periodontics/MS in oral sciences, or biomaterials or periodontics/PhD in oral biology.
