Admission Criteria
- Minimum overall and UB GPA of 2.000.
- Minimum grade of C (2.000) required in any Law Minor core courses already taken (LAW 101; and LAW 201 or LAW 202).
Current UB students seeking admission to the Law BA should submit the Major/Minor Change Request Form. Four LAW Electives (12 credits)

*LAW 495 can only count once towards the major or minor. Total Credits Required for Minor: 18
Total Credit Hours Required represents the minimum credits needed to complete this program, and may vary based on a number of circumstances. This chart should not be used for financial aid purposes. Academic Requirements
- Minimum Law Minor GPA of 2.000. This includes all courses used by the minor.
- Each Law Minor core course (LAW 101; and LAW 201 or LAW 202) must be completed with a minimum grade of C (2.000).
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of all requirements, the student will have knowledge of: - Fundamental concepts in law.
- The structure and operation of the United States legal system and its relationship to social and economic institutions;
- Reading, understanding, and interpreting legal texts such as cases, statutes, regulations, and the U.S. Constitution.
- The use of legal reasoning and rhetoric, including arguments that draw upon legal authority, doctrine, and evidence.
